January 8, 2010, Newsletter Issue #267: Homework

Tip of the Week

I spend around an hour and a half four days a week assisting my oldest daughter with her homework. She usually never receives homework on Fridays. I rushed to complete my homework in school when I was in the lower grades; either during free time, study hall, lunch or ten minutes in my last class before rushing to the oversized yellow cabs. "Homework" was always completed at school.

My daughter loves to do her homework. Its a time for her and me to be alone. Not only are we working together to complete her assignments, were also forming a routine. A routine that will last her entire academic career.

Homework first!
